Day 218: Victorian Country Christmas, Puyallup, WA

Don’t miss the 24th annual Victorian Country Christmas Festival taking place Wednesday November 30th thru Sunday December 4th at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center!

What a great way to kick off the holidays and celebrate this wonderful time of year. Step back in time to the Victorian Village with old-fashioned streets and over 500 Victorian Stores! To keep authentic, each store is hosted by shopkeepers in Victorian attire.

There will also be lots of entertainment at the Victorian Country Christmas. KMPS 94.1 will have a Jubilee Theater with stage shows and concerts every hour (including: Stardust Follies, The Silver Spurs Country Western Revue, the Singing Nativity and more)! See below for more entertainment this year.

Best of all, every show at A Victorian Country Christmas is FREE with admission!

Day 215: Puyallup Emergency Preparedness Fair, Puyallup, WA

Is your family prepared for a natural disaster? What about a family emergency? Well, if your not sure then come to the Puyallup Fair and Events Center this Saturday 11/05 from 9:00am – 3:00pm for this FREE event.

There is going to be a ton of great, useful information about preparing you and your family for the worst.

Plus, they are giving away free bike helmets (children under 13)! You cant beat that…this is also a great opportunity to teach your kids about safety.

Day 209: Puyallup Fair – Day 3, Puyallup, WA

There are only 6 days left of the Puyallup Fair, have you gone yet?

The Puyallup Fair is a great place for families to come and have a great time but for the Kids…there’s a special place that they will really love!

Sillyville

In Sillyville you will find:

  • Vintage Train & Station – The C.P. Huntington Train travels on a 24-inch track gauge and is housed in a new 4,000 square foot station with an early 1900s feel. It reaches speeds of 12 mph with seven seats per car – two adults and one child per seat, or four children per seat.
  • Train Tunnel – a 120-foot mine shaft-themed tunnel, featuring an interior 3-D mural of friendly dinosaurs living in the Pacific Northwest
  • SillyVille Food Court – featuring kids value menu items

Day 207: Puyallup Fair – Day 1, Puyallup, WA

There are A LOT of things to do at the Puyallup Fair, but today I want to highlight the FREE things to do at the Fair.

My family’s been going to the fair since before I was born and most of the time we don’t spend a dime once were in the gates. Sure, of course I go on a ride or two, but for the most part everything we do during the day is FREE.

Day 206: Puyallup Fair, Puyallup, WA

Its here! The Puyallup Fair is here…one of the largest events in Puyallup brings in over 1.1 Million visitors during the dates of September 9th – 25th.

There are so many things to do at the Puyallup Fair that starting today the 13th and through the next couple weeks I will highlight different events and attractions at the Puyallup Fair!

For example, I will dive into the history of the White Roller Coaster, or the history of the fair and its origins. I will also highlight some upcoming concerts and shows. All fun things!

Day 153: Washington Sportsmen’s Show, Puyallup, WA

Western Washington’s Only Sportsmen’s Show

Washington’s biggest and brawniest sportsmen’s show, the Washington Sportsmen’s Show opens Wednesday, January 26th (TODAY) thru Sunday, January 30th, with a packed line-up of family-friendly attractions, new expert speakers and past crowd pleasers at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center.

Western Washington’s only sportsmen’s show spotlights the one-of-a-kind indoor “Steelhead River,” over 150 hours of free “how to” seminars, camp cooking demonstrations, the Kid’s Free Trout Pond, the “Head & Horns” competition and much more.

It’s the perfect time to begin planning outdoor adventures for the New Year (and decade!) with professional guides, outfitters and other resources to assist in making fishing, hunting and wildlife-watching trips a reality.

Day 51: Washington Arms Collectors Show, Puyallup, WA

The Washington Arms Collectors Show is taking place at the Puyallup Fair this Saturday the 15th thru Sunday the 16th.

The Washington Arms Collectors is a membership organization affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA).

They put on one of the largest gun shows in Washington State. If your a member of the Washington Arms Collectors you can buy and sell guns at the shows and even carry firearms into the venue.

The Hours are: Sat: 8 am – 5 pm and Sun: 8 am – 3 pm.

The Price is: $8 regular admission and $4 for Active Duty Military.

Day 29: Just Between Friends Consignment Sale, Puyallup, WA

Just Between Friends Consignment Sale is taking place this weekend (Friday the 23rd thru Sunday the 25th) at the Puyallup Fair. Now, if you are not familiar with what a Just Between Friends Sale is…lets me explain in 3 words…a really nice Garage Sale (wait that’s 5 words ;))

This is a HUGE garage sale…where shoppers can find all they need for the family with a huge savings, usually 50 – 90% off what you would spend at retail. The best part is…its not just like any garage sale though, the merchandise is inspected to ensure only high qualify items are sold.

At a typical event you can find:

  • baby equipment

  • high chairs

  • joggers
  • nursery gear
  • maternity wear

Day 23: Slamfest Demolition Derby, Puyallup, WA

The Slamfest Demo Derby is happening at the Spring fair this Saturday 4/17/10 and Sunday 4/18/10 (Check out the YouTube Video Below, don’t miss the crash at 6:35…its awesome!). This is a great event for the kids and adults to have a fun day at the fair and top it off with a little excitement and action.

The Events Include:

  • Figure 8 Racing
  • Rollover Contest
  • Demo Derby Heat Races
  • Demo Derby Main Event – last one standing wins!

Prices range from, $5 for kids up to $30 for the best seats for adults. These tickets also act as your fair admission too, so its a great deal!

Seating is not assigned and is first-come, first-seated and the grandstand opens at 5 pm. Enter the Grandstand through gates 2 & 13. Event held rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges.
